"I wonder what is over that hill," we would say. "Maybe we should wait for our Sky Gods to show us." NO! There are no Sky Gods. We went to check it out ourselves. Alone. Just us. We are the builders of our own civilizations, we mapped the stars and planets at night, we created amazing public works, and we set our own two feet on the Moon.
In the face of climate change, war and every other crisis that is currently occurring, our species needs something to be proud of. By taking away our own intellectual and creative developments, our curiosity, our wonder, and attributing them to someone else- we are left to wallow in the fact that our species could not, and can not, achieve greatness on its own.
This collection of tablets proves that our species was able to understand complex mathematics and even astronomy while existing in technological infancy. We are the makers of our own greatness, and we shouldn't fall back upon some foolhardy notion (which has no evidence to support it) that our development was guided by some other race. Perhaps a deeper understanding of our actual historical past and the developmental leaps we made as a species would bring us together; instead, "as some ancient astronaut theorists would suggest," we are being lead astray by nonsense.
Let us be proud of this historical discovery, of these tablets and of ourselves. We did this, little old humanity on little old Earth. We've already given these ancient alien guys the Pyramids, can we keep this one for ourselves?
